May 2015, Welcomes Johan from Sweden. He has been traveling and working his way around Tasmania and has been to places that we haven't seen yet.
Getting in and working with the cattle.
Putting in a new ATV 4 wheel drive track to use across a steep paddock.
Fence repairs after some stock decided they were not going to do what we wanted and went through the fence. All a little too wild for everyone. ( not what we thought was going to happen) but a few repairs done and all is good again :)

Feeding out hay, to save some of the pasture grass going into winter.

Looking after the chooks, and keeping the nesting boxes all clean and tidy, but its starting to cool down now so the girls have stopped laying as they don't like the change in weather.
Heading down to the waterfall along the creek. A good climb down, very steep but not a lot of water in the creek at the moment.
Did you say water fall! OOPPS it has been very dry no water to fall. The end of summer often does stop the creek. But its raining as I add this post so / next week .......maybe?
Pump repairs. We had to wait for parts from the mainland so it is a good thing that its not mid summer and in desperate need before we got this going again.

Found a few more photo's of the visitor to our fishing trip

Very nice to see this guy on the river, he was not bothered by us at all but we had no hope of fishing with him around.
Moritz is quite confident with the cattle now and gets the steers through the yards to weigh and check over, but still a little scared of the cattle prod! well, yes but only when I am holding it......... really Moritz, what are you thinking I wouldn't I promise......Well maybe I would,............... who knows.
A day on the river fishing, when we caught over 20 fish but they get to swim for another day.
A nice but unwelcome visitor to the fishing trip. We had to move on, there will be no fishing today with him around.
Getting ready for winter means lots of wood cutting.

With the wood shed full now, we got started on next years wood pile. Job well done, thank you Moritz.
O' No, while here he has created his own brew . Adding different flavours, and if they work out we will have to see if we can send a bottle to Germany for him.

This week ( Feb. 2015 ) we welcomed Moritz from Heidlberg Germany, coming fresh from the tropical storms in Queensland he arrived a little weathered so a cold beer was very welcome. :)
Cleaning out one of the springs that supplies the water to the cattle and vegie garden.
Hard at work putting in a fence, and getting ready for our farm safe meat audit.
Australian's showing a German how to make beer! Moritz was very interested in learning this skill, so we think he will go home with a new hobby, watch out Dad!

February welcomed Thomas from Strasbourg,France.
He is a good cook and happy to help in the kitchen
 and in the garden.

Cleaning out an old trough is a bit messy
Washing and polishing the tractor, on another hot day.

Thomas came running and managed the Zig Zag and Duck Reach, a good achievement! It was a really hot day but a great run.
